YOUR CONNECTION TO THE CITY OF DALLAS COMPREHENSIVE ENVIRONMENTAL & CLIMATE ACTION PLAN
The Dallas Comprehensive Environmental & Climate Action Plan (CECAP), aims to mitigate climate change impacts by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, enhancing resilience to extreme weather events, and promoting sustainability throughout the city. Unanimously approved by City Council in 2020, the CECAP provides a comprehensive roadmap for improving quality of life, reducing emissions, and preparing for climate impacts. It builds on the 2015 City of Dallas greenhouse gas inventory and leverages extensive public outreach & engagement to create an effective and equitable plan. By prioritizing climate action, Dallas seeks to safeguard public health, protect natural resources, and ensure a prosperous future for all residents.
